SSB Casserole Cookie Bars

If you only know me from YHN, you might not know that I like to cross stitch. And by “like” I mean… it’s an obsession. So much so, that I am currently participating in a Mystery Steotchalong on a team called the Southern Stitchin’ Bitches (SSB for short and polite company!) We recently had a challenge where we had to create a cookie recipe that represented our team. We had two, but this is the one that we eventually submitted. It was created by Debra Cooley and I think you’ll agree that this is a dessert that even Buddy the Elf would embrace!!

Game Day Sliders

Have you ever really wanted a bag full of those little delicious burgers but you didn’t want to leave the game to go get them? I mean… they’re the best when they’re piping hot and they definitely lose some of that on the drive home. So why not make up a fresh batch for the gang to nosh on while you cheer your team on to victory!?

Chipotle Cheddar Cheese Crackers

I had a hankering for some cheese straws but of course… I was lacking the patience to find my pastry bag so I made more of a cracker. HINT: They taste just. the. same. And because I put most of them in the fridge for future games, I can attest that they heat back up, just fine.

First Timer’s Bread Pudding

Y’all… I had NEVER had bread pudding before. It just sounded…gross. Bread? Yes! Pudding? Right on! Bread pudding? Ummm… hard pass. But then I read the recipe and basically…it’s just french toast baked in the oven. Seriously. And this one is made… from donuts! I had been meaning to try it for a while because I saw a recipe that used my beloved Krispy Kreme glazed donuts but they have to be a little dried out and I don’t know about YOUR house, but donuts don’t last that long around here! So I put this together and made a couple of pans (one with apples!) for us to try out. I sent pictures to Anje and Erika who are my Southern gracious lady touchstones, to make sure it looked right. And y’all… it was GOOD!! We had it warm last night and I’m looking forward to tasting it cold tonight!!

A House Divided Sausage Balls

We love sausage balls. They’re the perfect game day food. They’re easy to make. They freeze well. Most importantly…the ingredients go a LONG way. You will get four dozen out of this recipe! The only problem is… we don’t like the same kind. Steven likes spicy food and I… well let’s just say that ketchup is a little on the spicy side to me! Y’all… I’m just not that adventurous when it comes to spicy food!! So this recipe is perfect for us because halfway through, we split it in half and my half is mild and his is spicy. Enjoy!!

Pepperoni Pizza Bread

The first time I made the Super Simple Basic Dough, I wanted to use some of it to get Steven to try it. Since he’s not a bread fan (Y’all hush! I love him!) I decided to make a focaccia of sorts. Also… he’s not a fan of words like “focaccia” so we just call it pizza bread.
